Our home is situated in the Devil's Punchbowl State Natural Area—a dramatic collapsed sea cave where waves crash spectacularly at high tide. The sandy south beach is perfect for walks and beginner surfing, while the rocky north side reveals incredible tide pools at low tide.
Part of the Otter Rock Marine Reserve, this protected area is home to diverse marine life including sea stars, anemones, mussels, and more.

At high tide, waves surge into the collapsed cave creating a churning cauldron effect. Best viewed from the overlook at the parking area.
🦀 Tide Pooling
Low tide reveals incredible tide pools on the rocky north side. Bring waterproof shoes and explore sea stars, anemones, and crabs.
